What size??

What is the average size hutch to house up to 7 -8 guinea pigs? : :-\ x8)
And this is a different question do you think this 43"long x 21"deep x 42"high is a good size hutch.

Isn't it 48"x24" for two piggies? Or 60"x24" for 3 piggies? If an extra 2 square foot is required per extra piggy, I imagine it would be 120"x24" for 8 piggies or 60"x48" - 5 foot by 4 foot.

My largest hutch is 10ft long & 21" deep so it equates to 8ft x 2ft - i have had no more than 4 piggies in there

i've got quite a small ish indoor cage...its one of the largest you can buy here though :

but my boys spend alot of time on my floor and down stairs showing off and making the cat jealous...

and i'm just about to go and buy a big run for them from a guinea pig rescue center.

i did worry about the size of my house for them but they only really sleep there and entertain them selves during the day while i'm at work, then an hour or so in the garden and the rest of the evening on the floor! i cant wait for summer time to start and then they can be outside for hours and hours! (we have alot of cats in the area...i dont trust them!
