Hi, I was wondering what size hutch is suitable for 4 sows, I have a 6ft x 2ft with two in at the minute and am getting two new baby sows, they have a large run in the garden, but was interested to know if the hutch I already have is large enough.:)

I think the hutch you have is fine :(|) A 4ft x 2ft is minimum for 2, then a 5ft x 2ft for 3 so I think a 6ft x 2ft is a great size for 4! :(|) Lucky piggies. :)

Brilliant i just want them to be happy piggies, we are getting two baby silver agouti`s bi colour rexes looking forward to it :(|)

6' x 2' is perfect for piggies. Nice to hear from people who go above and beyond the 4' x 2' suggested route. Piggies just love space. At the rescue I work with they have some 8' hutches which the piggies just love running around in. Bigger is definitely better in piggie world.:)

I have a 2 tier 6ft from P@H ( I dont think they do this particular hutch anymore) I've taken the ramp out and made 2 seperate living quarters, 3 upstairs and 2 downstairs but during floor time they all come together and use the ground floor as their base.
