They are currently inside right now in a 120cm cage (I know its too small, but its temporary. The babies aren't even fully grown yet...) Anyway, when its time to move them back outside for the spring/summer months, what size hutch should I be looking for?

I have a 6ft for my rabbits and have 2 spare 4ft hutches. I don't know if 4ft is too small?...
I thought 6ft would be huge for 3 piggies. Maybe 5ft? I don't know.

Thats why I would love your help!

(Please keep in mind, that I will be moving them outside. They are driving me crazy being inside. C&C cage is not an option. I have 3 rats (soon to be more) in my room and need the space for them)

I have Patch (3years)
and Lilly and Cinnamon (3months)

I'm not sure of the exact measurements (someone else will) but the bigger the better!

5ft X 2ft is the minimum for 3 piggies. The bigger the better really, a 6 X 2 ft hutch would be a great size as it gives more room for popcorning and running round.

okay, thankyou!
I will probably end up getting them a 6ft hutch, because I like to spoil them! :3

Join the 2 4fts together? That would be a lovely home
They are a bit old and falling apart. I should have mentioned that. I am considering fixing them up and taking a 2 side walls off ect to make a huge 8ft cage, but I just think it will be too much work and probably wont work out anyway.

Are 2 guinea pigs fine in a 4ft by 2ft then? Like is that the minimum size for a pair of piggies? :)

Oh, if you do decide to connect the two 4ft hutches you could use one of those connector pipes that are usually used for rabbits, they are called Runarounds:

Welfare Hutches also sell them:

I bet you can get them elsewhere too and maybe cheaper? I would that fixing up the 4ft hutches and joining them together would be a cheaper option than a new 6ft hutch (which are pricey!)

You would obviously have to think about how the pipe was supported, you could not have it dangling in mid air between two hutches on legs, for example..... too scary for the piggys ;)

I have two 3ft hutches that I am considering joining together in this way :)

or another way to join them is literally a bit of large drain pipe and the hutches butted up against each other, 2 lots of tubing means the pigs can get through if dominant pig is blocking the way:D
