I'm looking for a cage for Monty as he has just moved inside last night due to the cold.

Now I know that Its best to buy the biggest but Monty will be living in my bedroom so so cant set up the grid type cage as need access to things like my wardrobe. So looking for a cage to fit on my chest of drawers which can overlap the edges for more space or one I can put on the floor and Il have to move it if I need to get in the wardrobe.

So what size do I need to be looking for? Want him to have a hide box in there.

Il also buy one of those puppy play pens the fold down type so he can have a good run every evening - he can have at least an hour every evening so he wont be in the cage all the time - lots of cuddle time too.

Will try the garden shop and pet shops at the weekend, or can order online but this snow is a pain at the mo to get to places.

I'm sure I saw photos somewhere here of a brown/beige puppy play pen but cant find it now but ill do some googling!

Can you fit a 50x100cm cage? I doesn't seem much smaller than a 2x4, but in reality it's quite a bit smaller, but would still give him space to move around.

Yes thats what I'm after to use in the evenings for play time - would add tubes/hide box etc to make it interesting for him.

pet planet have some good offers on indoor rabbit/guinea pig cages at the moment free delivery as well

I was looking there but a lot of cages say 2 weeks on delivery.

Going to try and get to the big pet store after work, means a taxi back as cant get it too far without a car but need to get one! Big garden centre is too slippy to get to!

Thanks that's cheap! If only I lived nearby as It needs collecting.

Just brought a cage after work - got a reduced one - might get another one if I see a better deal but this was £30 and great for now - will be excellent for holidays too if we take Monty with us.

It was the only one I could carry on the bus and that was a struggle but it will be ok for now as I'm going to get a puppy playpen so he can spend his time between the 2:)

Thanks for all the ideas as Il keep looking at the links for ideas as to be honest I think Monty will now be indoors for the rest of his life - will put him outside in his hutch daytimes from May or when warm but hes so happy inside Il keep him that way:)

I'm glad you got a cage for him I'm sure he will be fine between the two. What size is it as I'm on the look out for something to be able to take on holiday and that sounds like a good price.
