I introduced Sophie and Honey to Henry 3 weeks ago,

Good things

They all eat together
They all come out for food in the evening
There are no wounds

Bad things

They sleep apart
Henry constantly chases and "bites" the girls' bums unless they hide which Honey does constantly (Mum has been on pig watch whilst I am at work)
Honey looks terrified.
Henry makes the rumbling noise LOADS and LOADS.

Occasionally Sophie and Henry square up to each other esp if henry won't leave her bum alone!

I feel like I have made their lives worse. Sophie and Honey never really got on - no fighting but always apart and Honey is such a nervous little girl it is ridiculous. I sneeze she hides, I put the hairdyer on she hides, she goes in the run she hides. I barely see her.

They are all rescues one way or another and haven't had great lives although Henry is by far the tamest of them all. He can be a soppy boy.....

so like the title says any ideas?

would it be possible to go to a rescue and have them meet other guinea pigs they may like more - they would have to live outside then but wouldn't that be better for them?

xx

I have had my boy in with the girls for about 5 months and he still rumbles and struts around the place - which I tell him to stop as its time for veggies and the girls will have eaten it all by the time he has finished parading.

He pestered a lot to begin with but has quietened down a lot, the girls were very vocal with him and each other for a couple of months but now they chat to each other. There was never at any time proper fighting, some dominance and still occasional dominance but never anything to worry about.

It was the best thing I ever did as for my gang it made them complete

Oh and none of mine sleep together, they all have seperate cozies and beds
