Getting really worried about Cookie and Cream

Cream always seemed to be the domiant one and it was fine
But recently Cookie has been getting in Cream's face a lot (which causes Cream to show his teeth) but Cookie doesn't back off unless I nudge him
Cookie will lay on top of the pigloo Cream is in even though they have one each and whenever Cookie is outside Cream's pigloo Cream will constantly squeak as if to tell him to go away

Now earlier Cream must've got really annoyed and tried to jump on top of Cookie (he'll occasionally pounce at Cookie but back off) luckily my boyfriend pushed Cream away and it was fine

Then we were going out so we had to leave them but after half an hour I got so worried I ended up coming home to stay with them

Nothing bad has really happened so far but I'm just so worried about them fighting when I'm out or asleep and I'll feel so guilty if they get hurt.

I have a spare cage but is it necessary to use it if no blood has been drawn? (Plus I don't exactly have the space at the moment so I only really wanna use it as a last resort)

What do I do? Sorry about the long post but I don't want my babies hurt

Keep an eye on them for the time being. They are not ready for separation yet.

You can do an overnight trial separation if things are getting really tense and you want to see whether the relationship is still working (i.e. to see if one of the boys is perking up noticeably when away from his mate).
However, you can do this only so often without it becoming counterproductive, so you need to be careful to only do it when things are very touchy indeed! If you are putting them back together, you'd best do so on neutral ground after a buddy bath with the same shampoo that removes all the testosterone stink from their coats.

They're still in together now, just a bit of jumpiness between them
Cookie was shaking his bum to show dominance earlier and Cream was lowering his head as if he was bowing, is this a good sign?

Yeah I'll leave them be unless it does get bad, how often can you bath them? I gave them one last week and it does make them happier!
