well this is the cage I made a few years ago...but I think that it is too small. I've got some plywood,but not enough to make a new one! I was thinking... I've enough to make it wider...would that be ok.....its about 18" wide now. so would making it 2ft or more be better!

What about making a run for it? Get some chicken wire (v cheap in B & M at the mo), and some wood to support the structure. Your plywood could be used to shelter part of the run, maybe the part attached to the doorway to their present hutch.

tbh i'd make the window bits bigger, it looks a bit dark?
