Hi, I have 4 guinea pigs and for their christmas present i am going to expand their cage.

I will give you a quick background of all my piggies.

Charlie is my 5 month old neutered male piggy. I recently adopted him and was planning on bonding him with Peppa (until we found out she was pregnant). He doesn't really get along with my 2 older girls, but they tolerate him. Currently he is living by himself in a 2x5 c&c cage.

Yassbella is my 4 year old piggy and she lives with phoebe.
Phoebe is my little rescue piggy. When we adopted her she had a badly healed broken leg and has a lot of trouble moving around. She also has arthritis and gets metacam daily. Both Yasi and phoebe are living in a smaller 2x3 c&c cage.

I adopted Peppa 6 weeks ago and found out she was pregnant, she is only days away from birth and i am assuming she will have 2-3 pups. Currently she lives separately as the others bully her.

Once Peppa has her babies (we are have already found a home for one of them and we will keep the others), i am planning on bonding all four of them together and how ever many babies.

So i would have around 6 of them living together.

I have recently purchased around 50 grids to add to my 30 grids that i already have.
So now i have plenty of options on building them their new cage.

It will need to be accessible for phoebe. and able to be spilt in half if they don't get on. Do you have any ideas.

Sorry this is probably very confusing.
Thanks

Hello, welcome to the forum :)

So you are talking about cage sizes Peppa and her babies when they arrive?

Or are you going to be adding Yassabella and Phoebe in also? If they bully Peppa this would not be a good idea.

I tend to agree with @sport_billy

I think before you decide on cage set ups, you need to confirm just who will live with who.
If you other 2 girls don't like Charlie, then the best thing to do might be to leave them as a pair (maybe with a slight cage size increase as 2 x 3 is quite small) and try to bond Charlie with Peppa after she has had her babies and recovered from that.
That way you could have 2 groups, and keep any female babies that Peppa has.
Plus it would avoid putting any additional stress on Phoebe, which with her mobility issues might prove to be a problem.

It also depends on the space you have. If we have an idea of where you want the cage to go we can advise a layout.
