when my husband and I went to clean the cages today we noticed this.. his right eye was watery and red, is it anything serious or did he perhaps just get something stuck in it?
If you look under the the lower lid there's probably a hay seed in it. These are really difficult to get out. Keep the eye flushed with Optrex or boiled and cooled water water, try to 'massage' the eye when you put water on it and eventually the seed will work its way up. Go to the vets on Monday and get it checked. Is there a mark on the eye surface at all?
