Hi all, last night I found this on Sandys back, just above her bum. I thought it might have been poo as her fur was a little matted but after a bum bath this morning, it looks more like a scab. Has anyone seen anything like this before? I'm assuming she needs another visit to the vet. Really wanted to avoid the vet for a few days as I think it is traumatising her.

If it is just above her bottom, then it is her grease gland and it doesn’t look healthy, definitely a vet visit needed.

Thank you. I have an appointment booked for this afternoon. Do you think this is related to her issues with not eating or something new?

On it’s own a dirty grease gland isn’t going to stop them from eating, but if the area is sore, infection etc then that could lead to reduced appetite.
