Does anyone know what this is?
I’m calling the vet first thing in the morning but would like an idea of what it could potentially be.
He has no cage mates, and he definitely can’t bite based on where it is. There is nothing sharp in his cage either.
It feels like a scab and if I lift it slightly (not peeling) I can see a hole with blood.

Sorry for the poor quality photos.

It could be a burst abscess or cyst that's drained & now healing.

I would definitely get a vet to check it tomorrow to be on the safe side, if it's a hole there your guinea may need treatment to stop it getting infected or debris in it.
Good luck & let us know how you get on xx

Thank you!
Do you think it’s possibly from an IV or injection he received?
He’s had a horrible recovery since getting neutered and was hospitalized for 4 days. He received injections and IVs 1-2 times a day.

Poor boy.
You are having a difficult time.
Hope the vet can see you tomorrow and give you some answers and suitable treatment

Yes, he’s been really unlucky.
I hope he’s able to recover soon so he can finally be with the others and feel better!

This is also similar to how mites can look.
My boy had similar issues, bu thankfully a course of Xeno (after seeing the vet first) cleared it up.
If your boy is stressed and run down it could well be mites.

Aww poor boy, been in the wars then! :(
Sorry I'm no expert, so wouldn't know where any IV or injection sites would be. The vets would know if it was in the general area of any treatment they gave.

If it is an abscess that's burst, it may need flushing to let it heal from the inside out.
Hope the vet can sort him out & he has a full & speedy recovery xx

Yes, he is definitely run down. Just started finally eating on his own, but not enough to stop syringe feeding.
I’m glad that the medicine would clear it up.
This puts me at ease!
