Hi, I have noticed that sometimes when Gertie is sitting under the coffee table or on our laps she moves her mouth a lot. We can't hear any noise coming from her though. She does it sometimes when sitting next to Johnny too but it is something she was doing before he arrived. Also her body languaage when next to him is fine.

Does it sound like she is just chuntering to herself like she has pmt? or something worse?

Thanks for your help :)

I think they do it when they are a bit unsure of their surroundings or when they are feeling a bit nervous.

Mine do it when first picked up but then they settle down.

Thanks Chilwell, she may have been nervous then because I was peering at her and when she was on Ross' lap he was checking to see how her mite wounds are healing. She may still be a little nervous of Johnny too.

Mine quite often do it when they relax from being frozen (especially my nervous rescues) but before they settle down.

mine chew pretty much constantly, including in their sleep. i wouldn't worry.
