I'm posting this on behalf of a friend. She has two boars that she has had for about 3 months, they are about 6-12 months old. One of them keeps pushing himself under the other one & biting his genitals. What is he doing & is there a way of stopping him from doing it?

I think I would separate them, that does not sound very pleasant to the poor other pig.

Are you sure he's biting them and not sniffing? Male boars will often chase after the other boar and sniff there. My Romano does it to Matthew all the time.

Guinea pigs squeak a lot. To me it really sounds more like he's following along sniffing the area. The submissive usually squeaks, or at least when I've witnessed it they do.

I don't think they need to be split up.

I'd suggest you send your friend this

Its under Nose, Air, Chin and Bottom Sniffing

Thanks for the link. She said she will read through it and may have more questions once she has
