What happened?

hi. i recently took my guinea pig to the vet for dental problems, and 3 days after, he’s walking with his feet spread out. what is happening?

Have you checked his back end to check there isn’t anything stuck - Impaction etc?

Please contact the clinic again tomorrow. This is not normal and needs a hands-on vet check.

no, he usually walks normally but hasn’t walked in a while due to health problems.

It could be a problem with the spine, a neurological or pain issue from either the spine/back area; less likely but worth a check from the genital area (check penis shaft in boars and bum end swellings or signs of impaction).

update,
sadly, the guinea pig has been euthanized because he was having strokes. he’ll never be forgotten, he was the best piggie ever.
