what happened

i've had my guinea pig for 4 years and we had a really good bond. but when i went to do my night check she didn't greet me like normal and when i went to see her she started rumbling. what happened. its really upset me because she was my best friend but she's acting as if i was trying to kill her8...8...8...:...:...:...

She may have just been a little spooked, piggies can get like the sometimes, they are prey animals so it's a natural reaction. She still loves you. Try again tomorrow with a little nice food, she'll be fine.

Aww, maybe she was just a little spooked as sport billy has said. Keep a close eye on her and if she doesn't return to her normal self, then you may have to think about whether she has something bothering her- like an illness. Hope she's ok. Please keep us posted.

Mine get spooked like this occasionally too, usually I can't think of anything that has spooked them but they're usually fine again a few hours later. I read somewhere that they can hear sounds at frequencies that we can't, so it could be that they heard something that bothered them even if you didn't notice it. I would just leave her alone for a bit and see if she seems better later - but keep an eye on her of course.
