They are sooo cute!my sows come from a rescue and for sure they are a cross; maybe they were bought into a shop, their breed is not pure. Calipso (white and light brown) was certified "abyssinian" from the vet of the rescue who visited her when she was young. Actually now the vet (another one) says she is peruvian. Calliope (black, brown and white) was certified peruvian and still is... maybe she has some Coronet gene, but it is not sure... Her fur is growing long and straight...
honestly I don't care, I only hope that in the cross their genes have improved and their health will be stronger. (so that I can save some money with the vet bills

Each guinea pig is adorable. A "decent" cute guinea pig doesn't exist because all of them are INCREDIBLY cuteAby, Teddy, Crested and smooth of difference varieties.
Honestly, it doesn't matter, love them all....

I get them easily mixed up when they are babies, glad to hear I am not the only onesometimes when they are babies peruvian and aby can be mixed up... I have found on fb an old video of my piggies, posted by the rescue and they look different than now; especially Calipso had the typical traits of an abyssinian...
