Got 2 guinea pigs that were abandoned from pets at home a week ago

They are a little skittish when you first handle them. After a few minutes they will calm down and start to wander around. Climb and sniff on you.

After awhile they will start to squeak very quietly. What does it mean.

They will also do this in the evening but s Bit louder with a few Meeks and more or a loud purr it does not sound like teeth chattering that I have seen on videos on YouTube

That is just general chuntering a nice noise, just the piggy vocally saying, I’m here it’s okay....

I see your new to the forum. Welcome, Hope you enjoy your time here.

Your piggies are gorgeous.

Welcome again

When they get really loud it usually means that you are failing in your slave duties and haven’t fed them.
The low purr is often happiness.
My Jemimah will do this if there’s cucumber in the veggies.
It’s lovely to hear piggies chattering away to themselves and each other

Welcome to the forum and please can we see pictures
