ihave two pigs which have onlt been living together for a week now , at first the older one suzy ( 1 year old) nipped the little one pippa (8 weeks old) but that has all stopped now , one thing i have noticed is suzy sniffing pippas chin and she streches her chin out and then suzy just walks away . what is all that about becuase she isnt hurting her and pippa doesnt seem to mind it ?

I think stretching the chin is a sign of submission. Minx has always done it since I introduced her to my older girls, mainly with Delilah (dominant piggy). Very occasionally it leads to Delilah grooming Minx. Here's a pic I took today.

so that mean they there getting on right ? and ** piggys are very cute :)

My guinea-pigs did the same thing when I first introduced them, and after a week they got on fine, I haven't seem them do the chin thing since but they live outside so they might do it when I'm not there.
