What does everyone use for indoors?

I have C&C cages with correx or plastic underlay, a cut to size padded watertight mattress cover and a fleece topping. I couldn't keep so many piggies without creating a major mess everytime I cleaned them out.

Our set up is home built onto the lounge wall so has wooden floors covered with thick lino then vet bed. Easy to keep clean and maintain :)
Most people are using fleece now, we started with them but I was constantly straightening them out and found the piggies needed a deep clean at least twice a week. Vet bedding can be insitu for around 5-7 days if washed and cared for properly.

I just asked this question on another thread, but maybe you will know? How do you stop the fleece going "fluffy" when you brush all the hay/poos off before washing them? :)

I dont brush the fleece but take it outside and give it a good shake. I've used cheap ikea fleece (99p ones), B&M fleece, Primark fleece and B&Q fleece and never had a fluffy/bobbly problem. I tend to wash at lowish temperatures though (30 or 40).

The worst thing is the inco pads take forever to dry.....but the fleece is great

Carefresh atm. Great for indoors due to it's odour eating properties. It's really absorbant as well.

I use vet bed - I reckon it saves me at least £200 a year over using shavings - after it comes out of the washing machine it is practically dry - I just pop it on a radiator for 10 mins and its good to go :o

i use vet bed also but put a towel underneath. I wash it every 7 days but hoover out all poops / hay etc everyday and doesnt take long at all.

I use vetbed, which I hoover and change each day, although really it could last about 3 days, I just like to keep it fresh as he's right next to where Dad eats his breckie XD

My other 6 piggie have to put up with newspaper and hay though :) Which they seem to adore, they love making little tunnels in the hay hehe
