Hubby is going to get me a better hutch for Truffle and Tufty as the one they have is very small. They are doing very well in it, sleeping together, eating together etc etc but as they are in it for long periods because I'm at work all day and I want them to have more space to stretch out in.

What is the general opinion of this hutch? ... Our spend limit on each other is £70 as we are doing our house up and have a holiday to pay for, plus I don't think he would want to spend more than that on the piggies - he says he has to be the voice of reason when it comes to me and the furries inbreeding:{

Any thoughts? Don't want to buy the wrong hutch if I can help it :p:))

Looks great for an outdoor hutch ! the two levels will give them there own space when they have any arguments too!
It looks well built too :)

Oh great! I thought that maybe the bottom bit having wire on the left and right might be a downside due to drafts etc but I guess as its just for the two boys and that just an extra level it shoud be OK? :(|)xx>>>xx>>>

i would recomend covering that bit to stop draughts, i dont think having open sides is a good idea.

I'd contact the seller and see if they were prepared to make the 2 sides on the lower level solid, so the piggies could be comfortable on both levels, apart from that, pretty good hutch at a good price. ;)

I have a Lazy Bones hutch which is two-tier and is open both sides. I think it's nice for them see around the garden and feel the sun on them. I attach a lovely big run to it. You can see it on my videos. :)p

Yeah, maybe I should see the 2nd level as more of a run what with the open sides. The only downside is if they even fight in years to come and I want seperate for a while I will struggle due to the open sides. I'll have a think before I order :))

My aunty has 3 of these for her rabbits, she said the hutches are brilliant but the locks will probably need replacing (she's had 2 bunnies escape!)

She said it's very easy to clean and it looks very smart.

I've just bought a really good hutch on eBay may need a few adjustments but it was really good value at £90 for ..... 5x2x4 double hutch. Type into eBay , hutch 131! :-)

My hutches are made by that company and they are brilliant. All you need to do if you are worried about the open sides, is buy two pieces of perspex and cut them to size and fit little ledges on to slide them in and out. That is what we have done for the front of the girls cage.

That looks pretty good. I like the look of the pull out trays for easy cleaning. I have a similar one (http://uk.andale.com/imgserver/img/...dio.com/a/35001301/aview/020_A.jpg&marketId=8) but it sits directly on the ground so they can nibble the lawn and they love it to pieces. Do you have grass they can sit on? It halves the amount of cleaning out and I have the cover on all year round to keep them out of drafts. I've then added on a 6 foot run on the front to give them tonnes of running around space - perhaps I got a bit carried away! It looks a good model though and they soon get used to the ramp with a bit of encouragement. I would definitely fit an extra couple of bolts/locks on there though as a friend's rabbits were in something similar and a fox managed to get the bolt open :0

You have very lucky piggies!

I do have grass but would like to put them out on that in a run as a treat each day (warmer weather permitting of course). It gets them excited about me coming to see them or so I've found in that past anyways. I think I am going to buy this one on pay day and as someone kindly mentioned if the sides are an issue I'll add some perspex. I think in summer the open sides will be a bonus because they can see all around them :)) Very excited now! :)):))-c
