I use a cat litter tray to bath mine. I put it in their run and because the litter tray is only about 3 inches deep, my piggies know that they can climb and get out if they want to.

From my experience, don't use a deep sink because they think you are going to drown them. I put nice warm, but not too hot, watch in the cat litter tray and have a small watering can filled with warm water ready to rinse them off. I find my piggies are happy knowing that they can get out of the bath if they want to, so don't feel too frightened.

What do other members use?

I use the bath and mine have never been frightened because I put the plug in and fill the sink up and use a jug to put water over them that way. They seem to enjoy it and don't mind when the water level rises.

The human bath!
Two bowls of warm water sat in the bath. Small towel placed between them so that piggy doesn't slip on bath surface. One bowl is for soapy (shampoo) water & first rinse; second bowl clean water for final rinse. Depends on the pig, either a jug is used for pouring water or the piggy is held carefully in the bowl if it's a quiet one.
Tried washing them in the sink and it is too nerve racking. They can't fall / jump out of the bath :)

I have only bathed Ted once and i bathe him ni the tub, just a lot easier and he can run around if he wants to, teehee........... :smitten:

We use an old washing up bowl that we keep outside for the purpose. They don't mind too much and get lots of cuddles at drying time!

:) I have a sink in the utility room and bathe them in there. warm water (i do the elbow check same as with babies) a beaker to pour water over their backs not their heads. and a little johnsons baby shampoo. then rinse and towel dry which they love. mine seem to like it they just sit there and they enjoy the cuddles after in their own towels. :smitten:

Wee bit of advice - don't use johnson's baby on them, it can severely dry out and irritate their skin. Check out www.gorgeousguineas.com for nice shampoos for piggies.

I bath mine in the bathroom sink.
