I'm just trying to come up with the best idea for my guinea pigs bedding. They are currently on cement with newspaper and i hate that. I've been asking around and this is what i've come up with, tell me what you think?
The bottom of the cage lined with towels and fleece on top, then a corner of the hutch with corflute base where there will be their water, food and hay rack, so since they will spend a lot of time there eating most of their poop will be there and it will be easy to lift out and clean daily.
Someone told me a stone inside the hutch will help keep their nails trim, so i was thinking of that, plus they have two igloos and i'm getting a cuddle cup and a hammock and a couple of pillows for the upstairs bedroom.
Someone with 5 pigs said she cleans the fleece twice a week and i'm planning on having 4 all up within a couple of months.
Please tell me what you all think.
Also, i live in australia and in summer it gets stinking hot and humid too, would the fleece get too hot? they get pretty good ventilation, i'm just thinking of those humid days...
