Hi lovely people
I have had my two 3 year old rescue boars for 3 weeks now and they are a joy every day, even while cleaning out their constant poo 😆
Would people please tell me what you think of their living space though? It is C&C panels on top of a table - 150 cm x 70cm.
Coco and Fudge are on the large side, both weigh about 1.4kg each and are about 25 cm long. Do you think their space is too small? Too cluttered? They spend their days ambling around munching, resting in their hides and coming out for at least half an hour floor/lap time. Opinions appreciated! Thanks x

It’s good they have a selection of hides. But it does look a little ‘busy’ in there. I know they don’t generally have zoomies as much when they’re older. But if they do, they’d be running into things.

Also, the beat way to tell their ideal weight is through their heft rather then their weight. If you do a search you can find out what and how to check it.

Sometimes it’s good to rotate toys and hides in and out. It stops them from getting bored of having the same things.
If they are happy with a 4x2 then that is fine - at 150cm it does meet the requirements. We do always recommend sLightly larger size for two boars of 5x2 but I see that it fits nicely on the table whereas a 5x2 wouldn’t! If you find that they could do with a little extra space, then you could always consider adding a loft. They are older though so you won’t be running into the teenage troubles which is why a larger 5x2 is good for teenagers
I agree that heft is a better gauge than weight - piggies come in all different shapes and sizes and their weights can vary so much. Do keep their pellets limited to just one tablespoon per piggy once per day.

You have a lovely cage their for your boys, I would rotate your toys/tunnels so they have a little more room x
