Junior Guinea Pig
Sorry if this has already been discussed,I tried searching but couldn't find anything
My new hutch arrived today and I am hoping to have it set up and my girls put it in tomorrow
I was just wondering how people set up there hutches? As I don't think the way I used to do it will be suitable or is he best way
My old hutch is a wooden hutch all over, I used to put a few layers of newspaper down along be whole hutch and inside be wooden sleepy house I bought them, I'd them scattered a layer of sawdust over the main area and fill the sleepy house with hay. This is what I was advised to do when I got them.
My new hutch has plastic covering the base of each level (it has 2 levels) and the bases pull out to be easily cleaned,I'm now wondering if newspaper and sawdust are the best thing to cover the floor with or if I could/should use something else.
I'm not too keen on using fleece as I used fleece for there indoor play pen and found it really horrible to clean and get all the hay etc off before it went in the washing machine
