Hi, guys. I have two Male skinny pigs. They've been bonded for about a year. I think one is about a year younger than the other. I do know that they live by a pack mentality, and there has to be a head pig in charge. Once every 6 months they will do their fighting for a day or 2 to see who is still in charge. Then things go back to normal. About 4 months ago, they started fighting but no biting is involved. It is just scratching and it's not to the point where I have to intervene. They normally stop after a second and one will go upstairs and one will go downstairs. They still eat together- Hay, pellets and veggies. They still clean each other or clean themselves close to each other. Once every 2 days they will get in a little squabble. Piggy smalls the older pig was neglected before I got him and as a resulr his toenails and feet grew kind of weird. I was worried he would not be able to protect himself if they got into a squabble. It seems that his nails are a little stronger than Squishy's. Squishy is constantly getting scratches all over his back side when they have their little squabble sessions. Piggy does not have any marks on him. Squishy always has at least 3 to 4 fresh marks. Like I said, they don't fight everyday but they do have little tit for tats about every other day At least once during that day. So I'm just worried, should I keep them together or is this something I should separate them for?

Also they have 2 hay bins 2 water bottles and 2 pellet feeders and like 6 or 7 hide spots there in a 2 story cage
