I've read that guineapigs can get depressed after their mate passes away, is there anything I can do to prevent this? Or is there anything i can do to help him in general? Please let me know ^-^

So sorry for your sad loss. Perhaps you could think of getting Macaroni a new companion when you are both ready. Rescues do boar dating and there will be lots of lonely piggies looking for a super new home. Sleep tight little Cheese x

So sorry for your loss.
I agree with Bill&Ted. When you are ready, the best thing to do is to get macaroni a new friend.

Hi and welcome

I am very sorry for your loss. We have a Rainbow Bridge section where you are welcome to post a tribute to Cheese if you wish to.

Here are our tips on what you can do for Macaroni in the short and in the longer term; the guide also contains a link to the sadly rather few Canadian guinea pig rescues that offer bonding for bereaved piggies.
