What beddings for outdoor piggies?

What beddings are actually suitable for outdoor piggies? I'm currently using shavings but people are saying they're really bad for piggies' health. I want to find a bedding that isn't ridiculously expensive and does the job of soaking up the urine. Any recommendations?

I use lots of newspaper underneath them (I gather a free paper from trains), with torn strips of paper and lots of hay for snuggling.

I've tried newspaper before but it didn't go down too good. DO you know how Megazorb is?
