What will really make your Christmas this year?

My hubby has a whole 2 weeks off, so we are looking forward to a nice romantic fortnight together ;)
It's ages since he has had this much holiday in one go, so we will be making themost of it. Cinema, days out, cosy nights in and of course shopping in the sales.... he doesn't know about the sales yet >:D

I'm the same, looking forward to having my hubby off work and less stressed. Not really looking forward to going back to Nottingham to see parents etc but after that we're going to the panto on New Years Eve with our 6 year old so that'll be good.

What will really make my Christmas this year is that it will be the last one that I am on call and probably working a little bit.

Same here about hubby :) 2 full weeks off together.

Presents! Yeah, am a big kid and can't wait to open them! 2funny

we are not allowed to take holiday over the christmas period. *sigh*

I wish we get snow at least, that would make my christmas.

On our first Christmas in Lancashire two years ago it snowed on Christmas Day and we went sledging on Boxing Day, it was magical :)

I have 1 week off and I'm going to my parents in the Midlands. Taking all three pigs with me and I know they're going to get a lot of fuss ;D Especially off my sister who is dying to have some herself but her husband won't let her :(

Will be nice not to work just because I'm really fed up here at the moment >:(

How come? What do you do for a living?

We finish 4pm this Friday and start again 2nd Jan.

For the first time in 5 years, I will actually wake up in the same bed as my partner this Christmas morning. Just that thought makes me feel all warm inside. :)

For me it is not being at work and being with the family.

Xmas sad for me though as the man I love will be with his ex wife and kids and I won't get to see him at all over the xmas/ New Year time. Don't ask. It's complicated.

I'm looking forward to spending a 2 days with my other half and the piggies, eating lots of choccies and opening presents.

Not sure really, just as long as its not too stressful I will be v happy! I'm not a real christmas person, but celibrated the Winter Solstice.
I'm on a mission today to 'hide' the pigs! MIL is coming to lunch & always persists in berating me about the unhygenic 'rats' in the house. I have to bite my toungue not to say that she tried to feed my daughter old chicken broth when she was 2 weeks old! It had been sat on the stove uncovered for 2 days!
I quite like doing a nice dinner. This year we have organic ethically reared rack of lamb. I think that this will be my best thing tomorrow. I am interested to see how my daughter deals with the 'santa' issue!

going town and out with mates! yey!

scalein the shops....!

got some confidence, so I'm now getting my social life back on track yey!

Awww, dont hide the piggies. Educate the MIL, sounds like she needs it. :)

X-mas at home for us. 1st in the new house so it's a good excuse not to go to family. Will be opening some presents, have dinner, go for a walk, prob some pudding after that as i'l be stuffed from dinner and have to walk it off! Then open the rest of the presents. Just a calm, but probably noisy, day. Our lil lad has l;ots of new toys to open!

Well I didn't hide them, just showed her that they are veg peelings dust bins! I think after she heard them wheeking for more veg she kind of endeared to them a bit. When I told her that the stick of sprouts I had were from the man who takes their cage waste for his compost she was hooked! I let her know that if you plan it right with a lawn the size of mine you only have to get the mower out 3x a year. She even asked me to take them to hers :o

Bless her she;s a sweetie really, she is a Polish POW & can't see the 'point' in un-necessary things. But when shown thier use she;s usually ok!
