What are you afraid of?

Hey... Just wondering what everybody is affraid of ?

I'm affraid of... heights, spiders, cockroaches and other creepy crawlies... ;D I get paranoid sometimes and can see bugs out the corner of my eye but theyre not really there ? lol

And you?
 
I have a phobia about being sick strangely, failing (not really a phobia but you know) and if I'm high up I worry I'm going to fall. I also worry about stupid things at stupid times.
 
I worry alot about dying also :-\ weird huh! and I absolutley HATE needles! they make me cry so hard ;D the worst part is my needle phobia gets worse as i get older ;D

my daughter in law is also petrified about dying and has even spoken to a vicar about it,
 
I suppose the weirdest thing I'm scared of is Sharks! I know some people on here live in Australia and America where this could be a problem but this doesn't tend to be a problem in the North Sea. I freak out in rivers, lakes, the sea and even in the bath! When I was really little I even had to swap bedrooms because of a blue carpet! I suppose I don't help myself much by watching everything shark related!

Other major fears of mine are the dark (I sleep with the light on), escalators, spiders, heights, planes, prawns and many other things I've forgotten about.

I have a feeling they all come down to the fact that I'm scared of dying which all of these could potentially inflict (except maybe the prawn!)
 
I am rather fascinated to them. However i am afraid too haha.
I heard about tthe sharks that come out in shallow water in the americas, shocking.
 
Eew I hate sharks :-\ I also hate the dark... so i "forget" to turn the light off ;D
Esculators make me want to barf its such a weird feeling ;D

My BIL had a perforated eardrum which caused him problems in lifts, have you had your ears checked? :-\ (Now you can tell i'm a Mum :D)
 
How long you got ? ;D

So phobias are:

spiders
worms
clowns
heights
being in lifts
needles
dying
planes
being on a boat
starting new places, now thats my worst phobia except spiders. I get dizzy, sick, cramps and feel like crying like now as i start a new placement tommorow :embarassed:
theres a few other things but i foget theres so many things i'm afraid of i'm a big chickne :D
 
clowns and porcelain dolls, walking past mirrors and windows at night, open stairs (with gaps in between the steps, always get the feeling a hand is going to come up and grab hold of my leg), spiders.
 
Good luck with your placement Kezza :) I can understand why you worrying about that, I sure did before my placement.
 
I absolutely despise clowns, dolls and mannequin things. I am even scared of Ronald Macdonald lol. :embarassed: I also am petrified of the dark, and will refuse to sleep without a light on unless there is someone in the room with me.

Thanyou. I'm trying to calm and prepare myself for tommorow so i don't babble on like an idiot when i get there. I talk very very fast when nervous xx0
 
Or I end up trying too hard to fit in with the people....

Is it the childcare placement you mentioned on RU?

Yup thats the one... my mum gets it too ;D

I am always scared of new places, also hate waking past windows at night like abnoba said and walking in confined places at night... I always feel like I'm being watched and that some one is creeping up behind me or waiting around the corner! :-\
I hate scary looking dolls too theyre so freaky!
I am petrified of needles and it gets worse as I get older... I hate worms and other creepy crawlies!

hehe you guys are reminding me of things that sacre me ;D

Yes i have a temp one at a play area while waiting to hear about the nursery. I'm more nervous as it's not my field type and totally new to me and also have no confidence myself wish i did though.
 
Wasps and eels - although I'm not too sure where I might come across eels, how those people go in tanks with them on I'm a Celebrity........... is beyond me
