Hi me again,

Can anyone explain what my boys are upto please,
1) I've seen a few times now that two of them will walk slowly around their hutch then when they pass each other they both jump (no fighting seen at all) then they just carry on normally
Also
2) they make a pigeon cooing sound often when I put them back into their hutch..... any ideas what that means

Big huge thank you, Kell x

I thought the cooing noise might be that :( I hear it often after their treatment routine or when I've gone to their hutch for check them. Saying that though they are happy to be hand feed they will sit happy at lap time even fall asleep on my knee also they are quite happy to be fussed and picked up most of the time.
Thank you very much for the links I will have a read. Thanks for your reply I'm very grateful.

I wouldn't worry to much, mine coo at me but are still really happy :) Some do it more than others, I think it's to let you know who's boss :D

I have 5 boys they purr a lot it's mainly a sound of dominance and trying to figure herd order. They can bite each other but usually not to nasty. Cooing/ purring is often a sign of happiness if it is not high pitched. Pigs rustle their teeth when upset or angry. I hope this helps.

Hi that's really helpful thank you because I saw one of them with a tiny bit of blood on ear a few days ago and I had put it too him itching, I've not seen them grinding their teeth so that great.
