What a surprise!

So I was watching my newly paired boars after giving them some fruit and was totally taken aback! I always thought Rolo would be more dominant (because he was dominant with Twix before they had their fallout) however it seems Oreo is taking dominancy, they both moved over to the fruit and Rolo begun eating when Oreo storms over, pushes Rolo out of the way and begins to feed. Rolo tried to get back in but Oreo kept blocking him until he eventually just jumped into the box the fruit was in with his hind hanging out xD After eating half the fruit he moved and let Rolo in, is this usual behaviour? I was surprised, they didnt fight nor show aggression apart from the shoving from Oreo. It surprised me because Oreo is so quiet and cute and fluffy he is a swiss guinea pig and we often call him panda cus he is black and white, so when I saw him do it I couldnt believe my eyes! So referring back to the question haha! does this sound like usual behaviour? Oreo isnt stopping Rolo from eating or drinking he just seems to push him away until he eats first !

It is often surprising how a little innocent looking pig can take over as the boss. I was surprised that my boar has taken over as he was very shy and nervous to begin with. You can always make two piles of food so they can both eat freely.

Yes, Dougal does this too although Hamish always pushes his way back in & Dougal doesn't stop him. It's like Dougal has to see what there is and get first pick. It doesn't matter because I always make sure there's two of everything.

Yeah its so wierd cus hes so snuggly and innocent and still gets timid when i cross the room ! I am just using the one box temporarily I am getting another one soon I didnt have a spare but yeah its really odd i was so surprised by it ! both me and my girlfriend said yeah Rolo is definately going to be dominant but its so weird how its turned around xD
