I have the two C&C cage skeletons set up, waiting for the corrugated plastic to arrive from the UK. Meanwhile Rudy (dad) is in the small cage and Matty (mum) was in the big cage with her three daughters, Willow, Ash and Chestnut.

As Matty is due any day, and seems restless and nippy, I thought it best to move the three little ones (2 months old today) out and leave her alone until she has the pups at least.

So although it doesn't have a floor, I placed newspapers and carpet runners into one C&C cage and let the three little girls have fun and run around. They seem to love it, popcorning and what is even funnier, popcorning inside the fleece tunnel Pollie made me, which makes it look as if the tunnel is jumping up and down by itself! :(|)

Luna, my poodle has been really excited with the guinea pigs lately. As she is soon to be 14 years old, can barely jump onto the sofa, has few teeth left and they are not strong, is ill with cysts, I actually thought it brought new life into her, as I think she doesn't have much time left.

But this morning when I came back from changing the water in the fish tank, I screamed as I got the fright of my life (well not of my life, but you know what I mean). I was shaking. Luna was inside the C&C cage. I thought she must have mauled the three piggies, but I found them trembling hiding behind their hay. Luna was actually looking for them inside the tunnel. So they were ok.

Needless to say, the cages are now pushed against the C&C cages, so she can't get in, and she won't be allowed near them without supervision.

If you can't trust an old, ill, small dog (who is actually very sweet and has never, until now, harmed any other animal or person), who can you trust?!

Oh bless huni I hope the babies are all ok
I had a similar fright today I was out in the garden and sonic was in his run, anyways I left george out with him (our dog) who doesnt have any access to his run or area of the garden.
Nipped in to put the kettle on and happened to glance out of the window to find the biggest cat i had ever seen sat ontop of the roof of his run, George had Upped sticks and ran inside the house ( the little wimp lol )
Thank god the run has a roof or i dread to think what would have happened I was only inside for all of 1 min! I went out and shooed the cat away and poor sonic was hiding inside his little house poor mite :(
