I have come home tonight to find new neighbour moving in - massive removal van parked up her and our drives - in the process the van has destroyed the drain cover - so left with massive great deep hole in middle of our drive - major health and safety risk >

One of the removal guys has been trying to find a cover but its a cast iron 40 year old one so will have to order one and then find a fitter.

They are paying but its not great worried someone would fall down it so its got a wooden sheet of board over it and managed to get car over that too for tonight.

What a lot of hassle! Poor new neighbour is feeling awful but have told her its not her fault.

Wonder how long this will take to fix?

Oh dear, only consolation is that your new neighbour is likely as stressed ut as you!
Not a good start, but hopefully you will become friends or at least nice, considerate neighbours.

We had something similar happen to us (too long a story) but the long and short of it is, that the drain and driveway have never been repaired and we've never spokent to the neighbout again >

I live on an Island and its great lol my sons moving today had grandaughter Kassidy yesterday, everytime they packed her toys she took it out saying its not for rubbish man so she came here for the day little madam

What a pain. But at least she is going to pay for it and sounds nice enough. Hope you can get it fixed soon.
