I feel so guilty. New piggie mum here. I put my piggies on the grass thinking it wasn’t too wet and they went into the long stuff and got soaked. I tried to dry them off with a towel but they didn’t like it. They are in the fleece cage now with plenty of hay. Could they get poorly? What do I watch out for. I won’t be doing it again so please don’t tell me not to. I know 😩

These things happen and you did the right thing to bring them back inside and dry them off.
It sounds like you acted quickly and I am sure they will be fine.

And yours are not the only piggies who don't like being dried off... ;)

Hi,

They sound like they had quite an adventure to go find the optimum grass...just keeping them warm should be oki...ive had mine do it before and I put the heating on a little bit higher while they dried off...also trying to slowly get them used to the lowest setting on a hair dryer can be useful as well as it can help dry them a bit quicker...onlyone of mine will tolerate it so far out of three...then its just keeping an eye on them for anything that may be out of the ordinary for them...if you suspect anything a just incase trip to the vets is always best...piggies are good at hiding things...so if in doubt get them seen to...catching things early can make all the difference
