Just back from A&E, getting checked for a possible cardiac issue. Turns out no, it's just the neuralgia I know I get presenting in a very different way from usual. I mean I feel like a bit of an idiot but the hospital (and the paramedics, who were called by 111 because I refused to call them myself lol) were all very nice about it and even they said, okay it's not cardiac, but what if it was? Or what if it was a stroke? And I'd just ignored it because it might be something like neuralgia presenting in a very weird way.

And I realised, in the ambulance and halfway to Bury, that I'd left my phone at home. Ah well. All's well that ends well, right?

Well I’m very glad to hear you’re back home again. And it’s good that they were all so thorough in getting you checked over.

yes its like we all need a tune up happy your home hope you feel better :bronco:

I'm glad it was nothing more sinister, and considering how long some of those in the waiting room had been sat, I got out relatively quickly in around 3 hours. I think I prefer the "knitting needles stabbed through the skull" type of neuralgia though, at least that's obviously what it is.

Very sorry about your experience and your discomfort. It obviously needed checking out because it could have been something serious. Since you have never had it in its new form, how could you know?

I sincerely hope that you feel better soon!

Phew thank goodness you’re ok - always better to be checked out Lorcan just case ……what would Cam and Bann do without their very well trained slave ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks everyone 🙂 "pins and needles but cold" is a weird way to describe something, lol. The doc said she'd write to my GP to see if physio's an option for that arm because she doesn't think it's got the same strength as the other one, but it's my non-dominant arm anyway, it's not urgent.

Really hoping this isn't some kind of breakthrough pain, changing meds isn't really an option.

Sorry, i have only just seen this post. Really glad to hear that you are ok but it must have been a little scary to be taken to A&E. Always best to get things checked out though. Hope that you get some

I mean I think I nicked somebody else's taxi going home, but the freephone they have in the waiting room you can barely hear the other person on the line, and the driver was like "well there's nobody else standing waiting, let's go". The arm's still a little residually weird this morning, it's still got that "slightly numb" feel to it like when a limb goes to sleep, but I got free custard creams this morning. Who can argue with free custard creams?

Not my favourite biccie 🍪

I think I've hit my excitement quota for the week tbh. I'll be happy to spend the next few days sleeping the last two off, lol.
I know that feeling, I had a(nother) blood test this morning, I'm done for a few days, what happened to having a life?😭
Very little beats a Hobnob, though.
Oooh hobnobs, not really a fan of biccies but a dark chocolate hobnob, 🤤
I have nothing to say about rich tea except that a coaster probably has more flavour and a better texture...😞

Rich tea biscuits are the ones I buy when I want to slow down the biscuit guzzling in this household. We have a rule that the packet that’s open in the biscuit tub must be eaten before you can open another packet. It’s amazing how people’s appetite for a biscuit rapidly vanishes when they see rich tea biscuits in the tub. The last packet got donated to the archery club. I think they used them for target practice.
