This year has been a terrible year for losses - I had quite an elderly herd and sadly lost my ‘Golden Girls’ earlier this year; more recently, I lost my baby Dusty, who was only 2 years old.

I’m now pleased to have some happy news - I adopted two new rescue girls at the weekend ☺️ They were part of a very large intake of guinea pigs by the RSPCA, and many - including my two - were pregnant. They’re incredibly skittish and not used to being handled, but I’m certain that once they’re bonded with my other three they’ll soon grow in confidence!

Last night was the first time they’ve come out from ‘under the stairs’ (it’s a ramp) to eat while I’ve still been in the shed, so I was delighted to sit and watch them chomping away ☺️

They’re quite unusual colours - Belinda is white and a sort of lilac-grey colour, and Ruby is a pale gingery-brown, with a very ginger patch on her bum. Both have beautiful red eyes ❤😍

When we were driving home with them on Saturday, we passed a place called “Dusty’s” 🥹🌈

I'm sure they will become trusting soon in such a lovely home ♥️
