Hi, this morning I found a white clump in my piggies cage. It is solid and not powdery. I have found one of these once before. The piggies seem perfectly fine. Just wondering what this may be? A calcium deposit?

We can't really guess without seeing a photo. How big was it and was it soft, hard, squishy?

Hi

Can you please post a picture, tell us how firm/soft it is and also mention your piggies' gender, please. Without sufficient information we can only guess wildly due to insufficient information. There are several white things that can turn up in a piggy cage.

Could it be a sperm rod?
Hmmm, yes it definitely could be. I read that they can have a rubbery consistency, which it does. I also read that piggies normally eat them... Is it unusual for them not to eat them?
I am reading from a FaceBook page: Facebook

I cleared sperm rods from Christian on an almost weekly basis but I never had to with his brother Dennis. They are a rubbery consistency.

This is one of Christian's sperm rods.
