Hi! ive realized recently that my older guinea pigs poop is in clumps. I'm pretty sure its just due to veggies (I'm going to start feeding them less now). I saw online that you should take the guinea pig off of veggies for a couple of days to see if that's what was causing the problem, how long is it fine for him to not have veggies for?

If he has a digestive upset, then yes, you need to stop giving veg and give extra hay. Keep him off veg until his poops go back to normal. Then reintroduce veg again slowly.
If his poops haven’t gone back to normal after several days, then see a vet.

Ok thank you! how long is the longest i can keep him off of veggies?

If it’s just a mild tummy upset then the poops should firm up in maybe 3/4 days. If there doesn’t seem to be an improvement or you notice you piggy looking poorly I’d take them to the vets for a check over. Are there poops softer and smaller than usual?

Ok thank you! I'm going to put him off of veggies starting today and see if it changes. I'm not sure which guinea pig has the soft poops but when i took my older one out he pooped a poop clump on me so I'm sure that its at least him. I saw alot of soft and small poops in their cage but I'm not sure which one did it.

Switch to weighing them both daily so you can closer monitor their hay intake
