I couldn't help but notice that one of my piggies were doing a weird choking motion while making a gagging noise...I got her out of her cage and gently patted her back just in case she was choking... She seemed fine so I held her for a bit and then her stomach started making weird noises... I don't really know how to describe them (they were kinda like stomach rumblings I guess), but after a few minutes she stopped. When I thought she was in the clear, I decided to put her away but then she made a chattering noise. I'm used to my piggies squeaking and making odd noises when I give them attention, but this chattering was different... Has this happened to anyone else?

Teeth chattering means a guinea pig is angry or annoyed. My pigs sometimes do this if I’m too slow with the treats 😆 or hold them for too long.
I’m not sure what the gagging sound might be... usually it means they are eating too fast. If she is having trouble with the back teeth, she may spit out her half-chewed food she haven't yet swallowed. That could be the reason she was gagging?
Hope this helped :)

From what you describe it sounds like she may have been eating too fast and tried to swallow something she hadnt chewed properly, piggies are greedy and this does happen, and can look very dramatic! If it cleared and stopped in a few minutes its probably fine, just keep an eye on her to see she is behaving normally and eating and drinking normally- if she is, no need to worry, but if she isnt then of course call the vet.
Teeth chattering is a very annoyed sound usually!
