O

oveione

hi weighed my pigguns for the first time the other day(hides) and my three boars all weigh 5ozs and my four sows all weigh about 4 and a half ozs not sure what this is in grams didnt weigh my new pregnant sow as she is still really nervous but is getting there are theses weights ok ?

There's a sticky in the food section where everyone inputs their piggies weight so you could look in there for comparisons, there is also a link in there for converting oz to grams, I don't have a clue in grams:)

I'm confused... are these pigs babies? Because 4/5oz is nothing. Most of my pigs weigh around 2 and a half POUNDS... that's 40oz.

If you mean 4 or 5 lbs that is VERY large for a guinea pig.

Yep as DSL said 4oz's is nothing. My adults are around 2 and a half lb as well. :)

hi think my scales are wrong are only cheap 1.99 ones was thinking that when i weighed them as they do eat loads and my new boar is huge will have to purchase some digital ones can any one recomend any reasonably priced ones thanks

weighing piggies

we take our piggies to the vet once a fortnight and weigh them there.
it costs nothing and then the nurses can keep a record too of the piggies weight. good luck finding scales. hugs to your piggies:rose:rose:rose
perhaps go in to a shop near you and compare prices and see which one suits your needs.:)p:)p:)p
