I'm making a vet appointment so don't worry about that. But my boy Gizmo is losing a lot of weight. He was at 727g then dropped to 659g then to 655g. He's eating his hay, pellets, and veggies like normal. I know I'll find out at the vet but I just wanted to see if anyone else has been in the same situation.

Hi

Good that you are seeing your vet. Mystery weight loss without any further symptoms can have lots of very different causes so I hope that your vet is going to be able to work out what is going on.

Please step in with feeding support at the necessary level - top up for a partially eating piggy or full on for one that has lost all appetite. The feed is there to replace the diminished hay intake, which makes over three quarters of what a piggy eats but which cannot be controlled by eye only.

All the best. Please let us know how Gizmo and you are getting on at the vets.

He was also less energetic as he usually is, he's only a year old. Not really interested in hay. He had eye discharge. And he's underweight.

The Vet couldn't really figure out what is wrong so she put him on pain medicine for 5 days, antibiotics for 2 weeks, and a supplement feed. If he doesn't get better then we go back for testing

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the medications work!
