Hey, so weekly weighing were today and Kuzco showed his normal gain of around 30gs, but Kronk has lost 20gs, I don’t know his age but I believe he is still young and growing, he went from 685g to 665g, I haven’t seen him eating any less and he seems his normal self so I don’t under this loss, should I move to daily weighing or see a vet or both?

I would not worry too much. Just keep an keen eye on him and monitor and record his weight. A full tummy, full bladder can make a piggies weight fluctuate as much as 40 gms
When they get well into their teenage months you will find they start to grow in spurts, rather like humans, this could be the case?

:agr:

We don’t consider weight loss to be until they lose 50g in a very short space of time (a day or so) or between 50-100g over a continual but more gradual decline. He has just had a normal fluctuation and at this stage isn’t anything to worry about.

Phew, thank you, this is our first decrease so was a little worried as I assumed that until they are fully grown they should only increase, it’s a relief to know it’s probably down to time of day
