Hey, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted as we’ve slowly got into our little routine over the past year and a half, however I had a quick question. Our two beautiful boars are still under 900g, Kronk is 821g and Kuzco is 895g. I wouldn’t say that they look particularly under weight, we did have an issue around about a year old where Kronks ribs were very easy to feel but this doesn’t appear to be a problem anymore. Could it be that they are just small boys or should I be reevaluated their diet?

It may be they are small. As long as they’re putting on a little weight or maintaining the. They are fine. Check their heft as well and see how that is.

They come in all shapes and sizes so there no one size fits all bracket that you can compare to.

What part of their diet do you think you’d need to reevaluate?

Yeah they sort of go up and down around those weights, I don’t really know what I would reevaluate, they’re on a cup of lettuce, cucumber and coriander a day each, if I’m honest sometimes probably a bit over a cup and they have hay always, nuggets are used more as a treat as we don’t want to risk adding too much calcium, I think their diet is okay I’m just not certain how they should look heft wise

They are probably just small boys provided their weights are stable or gaining and no downward trends.

Their diet sounds fine.
I would personally add more veg variety though - bell pepper is fine to be given daily and is an excellent source of vitamin c, cucumber is also fine to be given daily.

This guide may help with determining heft - Weight - Monitoring and Management
