What is the best way to weigh my guinea pigs? Should I buy one of those pet scales? Currently the only scale that I have in my house is meant for humans, and not super accurate. Should I use it?

I use kitchen scales as they are made with smaller weights in mind and I weigh mine in a tube!

I bought a cheap electronic kitchen scale. I could put a bowl on it, but my piggies stay still on it and the weight is super accurated. I paid it 10€ only...

Personally I use either kitchen scales or baby scales. I started off on the kitchen scales as I use them for all my other rodents, but when I had a dead battery issue and kept forgetting to buy new ones I moved over to the baby scales. Mine have a function where after a few seconds they'll settle on an average weight based on animal movement, while my kitchen scales require said animal to be perfectly still for me to get the reading. However they're less precise (10g increments rather than 1g) so if anyone was ill I'd switch back.

I should add though that I had the baby scales already, bought to weigh cats. I wouldn't advise buying them just for the job, but if you do have some already then they're a good option.

my scales is exactly the one of the video . I don't need any bowl because my piggies are not big and I only need to check that their feet are on the scales.
