Weeing/ scent when picked up

Hello everyone!

Recently one of our pigs has got into the habbit of letting off some sort of wet scent when we pick her up, I'm not sure it's wee because it's just a little wet patch and smells very strong?!?

It's like she is scenting us when we pick her up?!

What does this mean? does anyone recognise such behaviour?

They can spray urine typically as a deterrent to other pigs/dominance thing but I don't see why it couldn't be a general 'back off!' sort of signal to being approached. If it's only being going on very recently then perhaps she's on heat and therefore displaying more hormonal behaviour. You could maybe try ushering her into a box or some other form of conveyance instead of directly picking her up.
