wee stained hair

hello, my guinea pig luna has long hair on her bum area so when she wees the hair on her bum goes all yellow and matted. we have tried to cut it but it just happens again. we were thinking of taking her to a professional groomers.

My boy Leo had very long hair. I brushed him daily with a soft baby brush and gave him occasionally shallow baths and hair cuts.

i have a long haired boy. I brush and cut his hair around his bottom short. It will be a repeated exercise though when caring for a long haired piggy. Bum baths can be given occasionally

My Sheepy the alpaca piggy’s hair used to grow incredibly quickly so I had to trim his face and bum constantly! And he’d get a once a month trim all over or he’d take over the house! When you’ve had them a while you sort of get used to it! When he got a bit older I kept the hair really short around his bum so didn’t get in a mess, the odd bum bath but he hated them so much easier for us both!
