Meet Tito who belongs to my brother.
He’s come to stay while they’re in Mull for half term.
Tito is nearly 3 and my brother is concerned that he may pass away any time so he thought I would cope better than the young neighbour who usually looks after him.
I must admit to a sense of relief when he tottered out this morning.

He's really a cutie and seems a very polite guest :-). Hopefully he has some good years left; 3 is really not so old yet. Does he have any health issues that your brother is concerned over or anything you have noticed?

He's stunning and looks well. My first syrian hamster lived to be around 3 years old and we had to have him pts as he lost the use of his back legs and was struggling to get to his food and water otherwise I dare say he would have gone a fair bit longer
 
He looks like my Fred! Fred is 2 years old now, I understand the relief, I feel the same when Fred pokes his head out of his nest to get a drink.
He's what started my love of pet owning. Hamsters are such wonderful pets.
I hope Tito is well and healthy for the remainder of his days. :)

He is lovely.
He was a crazy hamster when younger.
My brother ended up having to padlock the cage to stop him escaping.
I kept hamsters for over 20 years only stopping when the last one died and I decided that the guinea pigs were enough.

My girl Katniss has now passed. Think I was away from the forum when it happened. She was just over 2 years but she developed cushings :(

Sadly we heard from my sister in law that Tito passed away at the weekend.
3 is ancient for a hamster so he really did well. I’m just glad he waited until he was home.
I am told there will be a successor after their summer holiday.
