This could not happen, depends on the extra space we have for a c and c, but I think I've talked the wife into getting one. Might need some help when I get measurements next week. By looking I think I can get it to stlesst a 140cm x probably 70 at a push the moment. Might have to overlap grids though width ways. Il try and squeeze to a 160 if poss 😉

That’s lovely! That will really like It!

For guidance, Normally the correct size grids (9 squares) are around 35cm plus the connectors so width ways you need around 77cm.

Four grids long is approx 150cm
Five grids long is approx 180cm

So yes, some grid overlapping may be required

I love my C&C grids they are so adaptable. I've even folded a cage up and taken it away with me when one piggie needed medicating at Christmas 2 years ago. A 4x2 grid cage and a sheet of plastic to protect the floor went into one carrier bag! If you cable tie the grids together and don't use the connectors you can save quite a bit of space.

Hi there. This is the sit I got mine from. Just posting the pictures to show the difference between a 2x4 and 2x5

Thanks mate, I need to earn some shrapnol and then il get on with shopping for a c and c. Get my sows lazy bum bum moving around a bit hopefully.
There is cheaper places. If your handy with DIY you could get some of the corex stuff and make a custom one.
Or surrender your living room and make it piggie save lol

I work at a sign factory and got a work van, so pretty sorted with the base 👍

My Jess moves around so much more these days after moving to the C&C (well she still has to take her power naps, she is 7!). And it’s a great size for my strapping lad like it probably would be with Bernie! I absolutely love it and piggies do too :)
You’ll definitely be happy seeing them zoom around like nutters in the thing! I watch them for hours!

Yup, I did! :)) To join my two big fish tanks. No regrets!:D

Problem is with dot. She has a seagrass tunnel. She doesn't want to let bernie inside of it. So she sits and defends it for most of the day until she has to come out and graze. She annoys me doing this. But I know she's relaxing and feels safe at the same time

Well if you can get them a C&C you can get another so they can have one each! Lots more space!
It’s the same as with new pigs, boars etc, having one for each always better so doesn’t cause trouble! I’ve got two carrot cottages in there atm, no way my three will share one! End up with Jess being left out so more always better! :)

When you have a bigger cage I would suggest getting another tunnel and having them one each end of the cage. Hopefully then she wont feel the need to sit still all day defending her favourite tunnel! I think if it were me I would remove the tunnel during their most active times a day to encourage her to move around a bit more.

They have a carrot cottage too. My corner wooden house has just been delivered to my mums, that should cheer them up. Il pick it up Tuesday. I cut extra holes in the sides of everything so it doesn't become a dead route, I keep the the layout to be a circuit for zoomies

I was thinking to remove it. It won't be long before I scrap it, it's getting peed in alot. But I do layer it with hay to stop dot directly sitting on old urine.

This is what has arrive. I'm not bothered about the post code in pic. Go round my mums and have a cuppa if you like, but wear a mask 👍. Just kidding social distancing protect NHS 😉View attachment 140944
My chins got through hundreds of these over the years! A big favourite. Just watch out for splinters etc, I used to find once they’d had a good chew there’d be a good few sticking out! But that was chin-chew-monsters and not piggles obviously!

I use these wooden hides for my girls. It gives them extra room for zoomies

I've got a similar one already, but it's huge, so I use it for floor times. Bernie and Dot eat the bark lol. Il watch out for the splinters, good shout... I got some sand paper in the house il just smoother it down after.

I bet chins destroy them lol, gerbils will collapse one into bits in probbslt about a week
