My guinea pig sometimes gets watery eyes but he’s acting very normal, what’s happening?

They do produce a liquid to clean themselves with. Your best bet is to have him checked over by the vet. How long have you had him and does he live alone? If so he he’s a friend. They’re highly social and shouldn’t live alone.

Is it clear fluid or milky fluid? Guinea pigs make milky tears that they use as cleaning fluid to groom. Seeing this is normal. Clear tears can be irritation or infection. Is gunk forming around the eyes, like when you wake up in the morning? If so, it's more likely to be an infection. If the hay or bedding is dusty, that can prompt watery eyes too... you can try swapping out the bedding and see if it improves.
