The water bottle my piggys had in their cage leaked CONSTANTLY.
I went to uni for a 2 hour lecture, came back and all of their sawdust was soaked, not with wee, just water.
I was just wondering, i've got a very shallow bowl in there atm with water in, is this suitable for them?

yes bowls are ok but ive found that the pigs tend to kick the woodshavings in the water or the fleece wrinkles up and ended up in it, i found the bowl a bit of a pain tbh,
but the pigs will drink from it :)

Make sure it is literally filled right to the very top. Otherwise the vaccum won't form and bottles will leak, also most of the wires supplied (if it is a plastic bottle) are too tight and squeeze the air out and again cause leaking. I tend to use 2 paper clips and an elastic band on plastic bottles.

yeah i've noticed that too.

but they're too small to get up the platform bit yet. when they turn into bigger piggies (only 13 weeks atm) then it'll be put on the platform to stop them kicking the dust in it.

does wet sawdust affect them at all?
i know it did with hamsters...
